From Sikkim to the Global Stage – My Poetry Journey with Hashtag Kalakar

My name is Anwesh Sharma, originally from Sikkim and currently pursuing my degree at Delhi University. Writing has been a part of my life since class 8, and over the years I have been fortunate to win state-level and district-level poetry competitions, receiving certificates and awards from the Honorable Chief Minister and Education Minister of Sikkim. I am also actively involved in debating and stage performances, which has strengthened my confidence as a performer and writer.

Participating in the Hashtag Kalakar National Poetry Competition was a wonderful experience for me. Competing among 10,000 writers and securing Rank 145 was a proud moment and a major milestone in my creative journey. The platform gave me the opportunity to present my poetry through video, express my thoughts, and connect with a wider literary community.
