I am Neena Malik, a 71-year-old artist from Mumbai, and creativity has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From childhood, I was always making something - greeting cards from found materials, embroidery designs, classroom sketches, and later large wall paintings. Even though I never had formal art training, art has always been my first love and a natural expression of my soul.
I spent many years as a textile designer, working with colors, patterns, and forms, which strengthened my artistic instincts. I began with acrylics, avoided oils due to patience, and only four years ago I discovered watercolors - something I once thought was simple but later realized was a beautiful and challenging medium. Today, I create large-format watercolor works on full imperial sheets, constantly pushing my creative boundaries.
Art, to me, is a spiritual connection - with oneself and with other artists. It is not about where the work will take you, but about the joy of creating and expressing.
I am truly grateful to Hashtag Kalakar for providing such a genuine and supportive platform for artists across age groups. The team’s quick responses, professional management, and the opportunity to connect with artists from across the world make it a trustworthy and inspiring space. It is heartening to see a platform that values creativity and encourages artists at every stage of their journey.
I wholeheartedly recommend Hashtag Kalakar to anyone looking for a legitimate art platform, global exposure, and a vibrant creative community.
My best wishes to the entire Hashtag Kalakar team and to all the wonderful artists who are part of this journey.
