National Poetry and Creative Writing Competition
The Writer encourages all of our readers to practice their craft and put their stories in front of the eyes of as many people as possible. Writing contests have always been a vital part of the writing world, giving writers the chance to have their work reviewed by editors and possibly published. Literary journals, universities, and even The Writer regularly host writing competitions, helping authors gain exposure and hone their craft.
Choose your inspiration, submit before the deadline, and, as always, keep writing.

Competition Format
Round 1: Top 100 participants from every state will be selected.
Round 2: Top 500 participants from all over India will be selected.
Round 3: Final winners will be selected.
The competition is completely online. Registered candidates will receive detailed instructions regarding the online procedure.
Languages Accepted

All Indian Languages and English.

Writings not in Hindi or English must include translations in either language.
Theme/Topic

Open to all types of poetry and creative writings.

Writers can select any theme or topic.
Word Limit:

Minimum: 20 words

Selection Procedure

Judges will evaluate creativity and writing skills.

Audience voting will be conducted online.
-
Judges’ scores will carry 50% weightage, and audience votes will carry 50% weightage.

Writers/Poets with maximum votes will advance to the next round.
The selected participants will receive instructions about the competition, and our team will promote their work.
Prizes and Perks

First Prize: Rs.1,50,000/-

Magazine Feature: One participant will be randomly selected for the cover page feature.

Certificates: National Ranking participation certificates for all participants.

Media Recognition: Top 10 writers will be featured in news publications with National Rankings.
How To Register?

Choose the age category and pay the registration fee.

After registration, a submission link will be sent within 48 hours via email.

Check the spam folder if the email is not received within 48 hours.

Submit writing in Word document format.

Submit before the deadline.

Ensure one submission at a time.
Royalty Details

Writers submitting videos will be eligible for royalty payments.

Videos will be featured on our YouTube channel.

10% royalty from video revenue will be shared annually (Proof of earnings provided).

Payout period: 5th January - 25th January.
Video Submission Rules:

No background music.
-
No copyright violations.
-
Only human voice allowed.
-
Clear and loud audio.
-
Duration: Minimum 30 seconds (no maximum limit).
Competition Rules

Must be original work by the participant.
-
Submissions must not be published elsewhere.

Acceptable styles and themes for both poetry and creative writing.

Avoid clichés (e.g., "Roses are red," "I love you").

Follow capitalization rules:

Avoid ALL CAPS.
-
Capitalize only proper nouns and consistent formatting.

Avoid texting lingo; spell words properly.
-
No vulgar or offensive content.
-
Use Enter key for intentional line breaks.
-
Do not include names in the submission (our team will add participants' names).
